The Founders Of Martha's Vineyard Vegan Society Troy Small a Native Son from The Wampanoag Tribe of Aquinnah Massachusetts and Patrece Petersen a native son of Brooklyn New York are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decision making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.

Martha's Vineyard Vegan Society Inc. is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a Vegan approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our partners are empowered by creating opportunities for individuals and communities.
FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES PROGRAM
REINFORCING OUR COMMITMENT
With this initiative, our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need and serve the food insecure with access to the right resources, encouraging people to become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their own potential. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program(FFVP) is a outreach program created by the Martha's Vineyard Vegan Society to afford access to Nutritious Wholefoods and to educate the community on the importance of eating fresh fruits and vegetables during every meal and to effectively serve food deserts. With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. Our Vegan Outreach Program was created to improve and, increase the variety of foods available to the community, and create a healthier food environment. The program focuses on providing Martha's Vineyard families with fresh fruit and vegetables, as snacks, breakfast ,lunch and Dinner Along side with Workshops, Education and Supportive Services. Dedicated to our Commitment
Each one of our programs is thoughtfully designed and planned with our participants’ needs in mind. We strive to provide experiences that are engaging, educational, challenging and rewarding. We are fully committed to both improving and enhancing the lives in our community. Our Food4rx program was designed with those needs in mind. In March 2020 Covid-19 impacted our community severely. In April 2020 quickly we implemented our Immunity Boosting Foods Program supported by a Grant from the Awesome Foundation in late June 2020 an has been supported by THE ISLAND GROWN INITATIVE since Dec. Since then our Program has served over 400 Families affected by Covid-19 virus.
